This applies specifically to inner healing. Though I forgot to mention it in the video, some of the toxicity includes codependency, strife, abandonment, and further wounding. There are certain relationships where more is required, which drains the person doing the inner healing work. Boundaries are healthy and needed. If you establish them and the other person doesn't respect them, that's their issue. Not yours. It is your responsibility to keep them in place. Yes, that sometimes requires you to cut off certain benefits for your well-being. A person's woundedness is no excuse for this behavior. It is never righteous for a person to just take and never give back in close relationships. Period. They must get their ministry somewhere else.
