Has David Benavidez's Promoter Gone Too Far?

In a recent interview with Fight Hype, Sampson Liarwitz explained why he won't allow David Benavidez to fight on the Riyadh Season fight cards with Turki Alalshikh.

Scamson says he likes the experience of fighting in front of a crowd in Las Vegas more than the battle in Saudi Arabia. David Benavidez is the WBC mandatory to fight Dmitry Bivol.

However, they don't have the type of money needed to pay both fighters what they would want to fight each other. So, Sampson and David's strategy is to hope Dmitry Bivol gets stripped by Mauricio Sulaiman.

That will allow David to fight for a vacant title. David speaks of how his team of Al Haymon and Sampson Lewkowicz is the best in the business and how they take good care of him.

David speaks of how he's getting paid well by Al and Sampson. He's a prize fighter who fights for money. Now, his promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz, says, " Boxing isn't only about the money. Many boxers sell their souls for money.

Is David selling his soul for the good money you're paying him? What I've noticed is that when it comes to Turki Alalshikh, fighters are selling their souls for money if they choose to fight on his Riyadh Season card.

When a fighter fights for the PBC and Sampson Lewkowicz, fighters are not selling their souls for money. I get it. However, this is more duck language and witness protection talk, in my opinion.
