A compressed earth block (CEB) is a building material made from a mixture of soil, water, and sometimes cement, sand, and aggregate. The mixture is compressed into blocks using mechanical force, and then cured and dried.

(1)How they are made
-A mix of soil, water, cement, sand, and aggregate is prepared
-The mixture is placed in a mold
-The mixture is compressed using a manual or motorized press
-The blocks are cured for a period of time
(2)What they are used for
-CEBs can be used to construct columns, floors, and roofs
-They can be solid, hollow, round, or customized
(3)Benefits of CEBs
-CEBs are a sustainable alternative to burnt clay bricks and cement concrete blocks
-They are durable, fireproof, and water resistant
-They provide good insulation
