Facts of solar eclipse In the light of Holy Quran and Hidth
What will happen on 29 March 2025?

Sisters, brothers, friends and elders, Assalamu Alaikum, these days there is talk on social media and other media about the solar eclipse that will take place tomorrow, March 29, 2025. In today's informative video, we are explaining about the same deep partial solar eclipse according to Holy Quran and Hadith. Our aim is to increase your knowledge about solar eclipse. So please stay with us until the end of this video and learn about the deep partial solar eclipse.

Year 2025 has 2 solar eclipses and 2 lunar eclipses., On Saturday, March 29, 2025, a deep partial solar eclipse will grace the skies across the Northern Hemisphere. Although it won't feature totality—where the moon fully covers the sun—it will still offer a striking celestial display visible to millions across Europe, North America, and parts of Africa. but not will be seen in Pakistan.

The partial solar eclipse on March 29, 2025, will not be visible from Pakistan. This event will primarily be observable in regions such as Europe, parts of Asia, North and West Africa, much of North America, and northern areas of South America. the next notable celestial event will be the total lunar eclipse on September 7, 2025, which will be visible across the country.

The Holly Quran does not specifically mention solar or lunar eclipses, but it does emphasize that celestial bodies move in precise orbits by Allah’s command. Several verses highlight the orderly movement of the sun and the moon:

The Holly Quran said in Surah Ya-Sin verse 37-40
"And a sign for them is the night: We withdraw from it [the light of] the day, and behold, they are in darkness. And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. And the moon – We have ordained for it phases, until it returns like the old date stalk. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. But each is in an orbit, swimming."

This verse implies that celestial movements are fixed and controlled by divine decree.

The Holly Quran said in Surah Al-Qiyamah verses 8-9
"And the moon will be eclipsed, and the sun and the moon will be joined together."

Some scholars interpret this as referring to events of the Day of Judgment, where celestial phenomena will be disrupted.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), on Solar Eclipses saying in Sahih al-Bukhari 1044 and Sahih Muslim 901 and clarified that eclipses are natural events and not omens of someone's birth or death. A solar eclipse occurred on the day of his son Ibrahim’s death, and people thought it was a sign. The Prophet corrected them, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life of someone. When you see them, pray and supplicate to Allah."

Islam recommends special prayers during eclipses, known as Salat al-Kusuf (Eclipse Prayer). It is a Sunnah to pray, seek forgiveness, and remember Allah when an eclipse occurs.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking sunlight partially or completely. There are its three main types:

Total Solar Eclipse – The Sun is fully covered by the Moon.

Partial Solar Eclipse – Only part of the Sun is obscured.

Annular Solar Eclipse – The Moon covers the Sun’s center, leaving a bright ring .

Why It Happens?
The Moon orbits Earth at an angle, so eclipses do not happen every month.

An eclipse occurs only when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align perfectly during a new moon phase.

Safety Precautions During a Solar Eclipse
Looking directly at the Sun during an eclipse can cause permanent eye damage or blindness due to intense solar radiation. Here’s how to stay safe:
Never Look Directly at the Sun – Even during a partial eclipse, it can harm your eyes.
Use Pinhole Projection – Create a small hole in cardboard and project the Sun’s image onto a surface.
Use a Welding Glass – If eclipse glasses aren’t available, a welding glass is safe.
Do Not Use Regular Sunglasses – They are not strong enough to filter harmful rays.
Watch Live Streams – Many space agencies broadcast eclipses safely online.

With this, we seek your permission, and pray to Allah, the Almighty, to forgive our sins and grant us the ability to act upon the Quran and Hadith.
Amen/ Allah Hafiz
