Nine turkeys destined for the dinner table will instead enjoy Thanksgiving on a farm after being rescued by a kind-hearted vegetarian. Noelle Reagan, 44, adopted seven broad-breasted bronze turkeys in May when she drove past a farm sign urging locals to order their festive bird in advance. The mother-of-four forked out $6 for each baby turkey on a whim and has raised them on her property in Big Bend, Wisconsin, US, ever since. Noelle added two more birds to her flock earlier this November, including a royal palm turkey, which is said to be tastier than the traditional bird.
