TRADITIONAL AFGHAN METHOD OF KEEPING FRUIT FRESH

Kangina is a centuries-old Afghan technique of preserving fresh fruits using airtight mud and straw containers, allowing remote communities to enjoy fresh fruit even during the winter months.
Preservation: The clay-rich mud protects the fruit from the winter cold and prevents drying out.
Moisture Absorption: The mud absorbs excess moisture, which would otherwise lead to bacterial and fungal growth.
