SE4PARKES015 WTF Wednesday 26th March “Presentation of the Federal Budget - what does it really mean?”

The "presentation" of the Budget last night was just that - a presentation. It is now up to us to decipher it and come to a place of understanding - what does it REALLY mean? It painted a rosy picture, that's for sure.

It wasn't what was presented that is the problem (well ok, some of it is really bad management in my opinion), but the biggest problem for everyday Aussies - is what WASN'T spelt out.

If your working son came up to you and said “I don’t have to do as many hours at work anymore, I’m earning less money, but I’m going to buy this, and do that and go here AND Im still going to have more savings at the end of the week!” Would your response be “well how on earth you figure that son?!” ?

The devil is in the detail, and let’s not accept this rosy picture just yet, wait until we wade through the detail and learn the true impacts and trade-offs and discover the real price to pay for being able to paint such a rosy outlook!
