NIH is deep state.
Stanford is a radical university teaching racism and sexism and perversions.
The Los Gatos Library failed to protect our children from perverted men in dresses.

DEBBIE LOWE
LIBRARY COMMISSION
STANFORD CANCER

Hi My name is Debbie Lowe
I don’t have an audio so
My name is Debbie Lowe

And I am a member of the Library Commission for Los Gatos

but tonight I am speaking as a community member And as a citizen of this country

I’d just like to on behalf of public schools and public library

They are the great equalizers and it’s what makes our country great

My parents came over from China,

They were immigrants

My dad was illegal

And yet in a single generation because of public education

And a public library system

My parents’ kids, me and my brother

Have achieved really the American Dream

You know, I live in Los Gatos

I work up at Stanford

My brother is also a professor at Stanford

And this could not have happened without public education

And the public library system

The first thing I remember is my mom taking me down to the public library in North Beach in San Francisco

And getting me that library card because we could not afford to buy books

So you know this impacts all of us

and I just shudder to think what their motivation for cutting public libraries and public education funding

And also I work at Stanford

and one of my jobs, in fact what I am doing right now is reading protocols from the NIH for cancer research

And if you don’t think this doesn’t affect you

If you know anyone: mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, son, babies who have had cancer

Chances are the NIH had a hand in this

And to cut funding for the NIH, for our public schools

There’s no rhyme or reason, there’s no logic

I mean this is what makes America what it is

And the chance opportunity to better yourself, basically

And that’s through public schools, public education grants

The federal government, as far as public schools, you know

The federal government is there to ensure that everyone gets that opportunity

Whether it’s your ethnic background

Whether you have a disability

Whatever your lifestyle

Everyone is equal

And everyone is offered that opportunity

And that’s what makes us great

Um I still have time but I don’t think I have any more to say

So I implore you to really look at you know

The town needs to make a statement about what is happening in our government, in our federal government

And the slash and burn tactic that they’re taking to our programs

Thank you.

DHANYA RAMANAN

Hi Um You know just on the point of the prior speaker

I would like to say this I truly believe this that this is not dramatizing

We’ve seen the concrete facts

We’ve seen the people who have been harmed

There are numbers to prove that these things are happening

And we need action

Which is what I would like to talk to you guys about today

Especially regarding fires

You know fire season is coming up

This is a beautiful town

It’s also an incredibly flammable town

And as you know we’re not definitely not going to be getting any kind of help with climate change

And as our climate gets hotter

And our climate gets drier it’s going to be incredibly important that we have enough funding

Or capability in order to mitigate these kinds of issues

You know I live up in the hills so definitely this is something that I am very worried about

But also you know Obviously we’re not going to be getting any federal help from someone who thinks that forest fires were created by quote unquote Jewish space lasers

So right now, this should be paramount, this should be incredibly important to prepare for

I think someone already talked about this

But I really would encourage our community to join the FireWise program

This negatively impacts us all

No matter our socioeconomic status

You can be the most wealthy person in the room or in the town

And this could still really really hurt you

But we should also be aware of the fact that this kind of pollution or harm can also negatively impact our unhoused residents

These are people who come to the forest to live for solace because of the fact that a lot of the times there are facing harm everywhere else

This is an incredibly important thing to consider and once again of course

Our nature is it being considered sacred

And so we must do something ourselves

Please I’d encourage you to pay attention to the fact that this is happening

And this is not some kind of cautionary tale

Thank you.
