Team Profiles: Set G Episode 7 | Goodra

Episode 7 of Team Profiles: Set G will be about Goodra.

Goodra was intorduced in Generation 6 as the pseudo-legendary for the generation. Since its release, it seen little play as the subject of VGC teams. Modern day Pokemon hasn't given Goodra much support in terms of power creep or upgrades to its identity, and so this is largely due to a lack of player analysis of it and not due to its power level relative to other pseudo-legendary Pokemon. this video will help to alleviate that.

Goodra is designed to be a one-two punch style Pokemon that sets up with one attack or ability triggering to facilitate it and its partner's attacks. It has the ability Gooey, which reduces speed, Sap Sipper, which increases attack, and Hydration, which cures status. This facilitates it as a midrange support to continue picking Pokemon off and setting up for further devastation.

Comboed with starter Pokemon, Goodra can help set up the Water Pledge/Fire Pledge combo to checkmate your opponent with odds based moves and insurmountable boardstates.
