I recorded this for a "Daily Tunes" Short vid but it turned out good enough to release as a regular video as well. Any likes, comments, or subs are greatly appreciated !

The Angry Video Game Nerd Theme Song is the signature intro for the web series Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN), a comedy show focused on retro video game reviews. Written by Kyle Justin—who also performs it and appears as the "Guitar Guy"—and co-authored with the show’s creator, James Rolfe, the song debuted in 2004. It started as an acoustic track during the show’s early days as The Angry Nintendo Nerd, later evolving into a fuller rock version with electric guitar and drums as the series grew. A complete version appeared in the "Sega CD" episode (Episode 25), while most episodes use a shorter cut. Over the years, fans have remixed it in various styles, and composer Bear McCreary gave it a professional upgrade for the 2014 film Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie, enhancing it with new instrumentation.
The show itself, created by Rolfe, stars him as the Nerd—a foul-mouthed, retro-obsessed gamer who skewers bad old games. Launched on May 25, 2004, with a Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest review on YouTube, it gained traction through ScrewAttack and GameTrailers before settling on Rolfe’s Cinemassacre platform. Originally focused on Nintendo, it expanded to other systems like Atari and Sega, prompting the name change to Angry Video Game Nerd. Known for its sharp humor and detailed critiques, the series has grown from simple reviews to elaborate sketches, spawning DVDs, a 2013 game (Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures), and a feature film. Airing monthly, it’s become a cult classic in gaming culture, with the theme song perfectly capturing its nostalgic, irreverent spirit.
