Class 9 Student Hit by Speeding Thar in Ajmer, CCTV Footage Surfaces

Ajmer: A class 9 student was critically injured after being hit by a speeding Thar in Rajasthan’s Ajmer. The impact was so severe that the girl was flung four feet into the air. The shocking incident was captured on CCTV, and the footage has since gone viral on social media.

The accident occurred around 3:30 PM on Ramner Road, under the jurisdiction of Gandhinagar Police Station. The victim, identified as Monika, had just stepped off her school bus and was crossing the road when the high-speed SUV struck her.

CCTV footage shows the driver losing control of the vehicle and hitting the girl, who attempted to move away but couldn’t escape in time due to the Thar’s speed. The driver briefly stopped after the collision but fled the scene immediately.

Locals rushed to Monika’s aid and informed the police. She was taken to a hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment for severe head and spinal injuries, according to reports by News24.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether the accident was purely reckless driving or if there was any personal enmity involved. A manhunt is underway to trace and arrest the absconding driver.
