Schumer should ‘of course’ remain as top Senate Democrat, Pelosi says

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi voiced support for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer despite backlash over his handling of a government funding vote.

While she previously criticized his approach, Pelosi affirmed Schumer should remain in leadership.

Schumer defended his decision, saying it was necessary for the country and the party, Politico has reported.

Pelosi also praised House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, calling his leadership beneficial for the country.
