Along the Rock: The Arts Stream - Author Amanda McNeill

In this episode of Along the Rock: The Arts Stream, Mark Morris sits down with local fiction author Amanda McNeill to discuss her writing process and talk about her acclaimed book series, Haven.

McNeill has wanted to become a writer ever since she was in 7th grade. Her uncle used to look at newspapers and magazines, and she once saw an article about a 7th grader who wrote a book, which instantly inspired her. Around 1976, McNeill thought to herself, “If you’re going to do this, do this.” She believes that if someone wants to write a book one day, they should sit down and commit to it instead of putting it off by saying they’ll “do it someday.”
