NASA's Artemis program aims to return humans to the Moon and establish a sustainable presence, paving the way for future missions to Mars. The uncrewed Artemis I mission successfully tested the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, validating systems for crewed missions. Artemis II, the first crewed lunar flyby, is targeted for September 2025, followed by Artemis III's lunar landing in September 2026.
