Who or What is the Snake?

The Genesis account doesn't tell us much directly about the snake that deceived Eve. Because of other verses, most Christians believe Satan was the snake. If they think about how, they probably think he was impersonating a snake, making himself look like a snake. If we look closely at the Genesis verses and some verses about Jesus, there is much more we can learn.
