#31 Dr Robin Craig

Dr Robin Craig (BSc, PhD - University of NSW) has a degree in molecular genetics and an interest in science in general. While only 24 and still working on his doctorate, he cofounded the biotechnology company Genesearch. He is also interested in philosophy, and for twenty years wrote a popular and controversial philosophy series for the magazine of the high-IQ society Australian Mensa, focusing on development of an objective philosophy and its implications.

As well as a number of articles in scientific journals, he has had articles published on secular ethics and the ethical questions surrounding self-aware artificial intelligence. He is also a short story and science fiction author, focusing on the intersection of science and philosophy, including modern questions such as genetic engineering, cyborg technology and artificial intelligence.

In addition to writing, he has spoken on ABC Radio (Australia) on ethics and is a popular speaker on cruise ships, covering a variety of topics on science, history and their philosophical implications.
