"RESOLVED!" (Pt. 5: Pride Goeth Before a Fall...)

"Method actors" like to pose the question "What's my motivation for this scene?" But we all might well pose the following question to ourselves: "What's MY basic motivation for most of the things that I do?" Love for the FATHER, as with Jesus (Phil. 2:3-11)? Or love of SELF--as with Satan (Isa. 14:12-14)? Today's installment in our "RESOLVED!" series deals with the mother of all sins: PRIDE. Despite our modern preoccupation with the promotion of "Self-Love," Proverbs 16:5 assures us of this: "Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; assuredly, he will not be unpunished."
