When Donald Trump shared a video envisioning a “unified reich” should he win the U.S. presidency, and then took nearly a full day to remove it, the most disturbing part was just how unsurprising it was.

Trump has previously claimed that Hitler did “some good things,” used similar language to the Nazi dictator by referring to his political adversaries as “vermin,” and even suggested that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country.” He also infamously responded to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville by asserting that there were “very fine people on both sides.”
