Islam or Christianity which is True?
Christianity and Islam are the world’s largest religions, with Christianity at about 2.4 billion and Islam about 1.9 Billion followers. Both religions cannot be true, since they contradict each other. For example, Christianity believes Jesus died on the Cross and Islam doesn’t. Christianity believes Jesus is the Son of God, Islam says he is not. Christianity believes Jesus died on the cross for your sins, so you can be saved. Islam rejects the death of Jesus for your sins on the cross.
So how can you tell what is True?
Moses gave us the test of a prophet 3500 years ago, in Deuteronomy 18:22
Moses said
when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.
Does Mohammad pass the test of a prophet? Mohammad was born in 570 AD and died in 632 at t 62. He taught that Jesus did not die or pay for your sins. In his book the Quran, he clearly rejects the words of the Bible: Mohammad declared in Surah 4:157
“and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so.1 Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him.”
But 1300 years before Mohammad, in 700 BC, the prophet Isaiah says the Messiah, the Christ would pay for your sins by his death in Isaiah Chapter 53:5
“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”
This outright contradicts the Islamic teaching from Mohammad, that Jesus did not die for our sins.
Jesus lived over 500-years before Mohammad, and proclaimed He would die and be resurrected the third day. In the Gospel of Luke we read (Luke 18:33)
“And taking the twelve, he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon. And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.”
Again, Jesus rejects the claims of Islam and Mohammad, Jesus clearly spoke of his death and resurrection on the 3rd day. Jesus died for your sins, so you don’t have to pay for your own sins. Both the prophet Isaiah, and Jesus reject the teachings of Mohammad and Islam.

Islam teaches when you die, you stay in your grave until the resurrection, then you have to run across a bridge over Hell called “Sirat”, while running your sins will weigh you down and you will fall into hell and burn. You will burn until Mohammad prays you out of hell. The whole hope of Islamic world is that Mohammad is True and that Jesus and all the prophets are the Bible are wrong. Muslims believe they will burn in Hell until Mohammad rescues them. (Hadith Bukari 7510)
Christians believe Jesus died for your sins, according to the prophets, so you don’t have to burn in Hell. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the Life, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me. Mohammad does not pass the test of a prophet, if you put your hope in him you are going to be eternally sorry. Put your hope in Jesus Christ, He paid for you sins so you can spend eternity in Heaven.
