Constitutional scholars and attorneys jointly regard the United States Constitution as a living, breathing document; now, Americans should equally raise up The Declaration of Independence as the living document dispelling not only a tyrannical Eighteenth Century British monarchy – but also all modern enemies foreign and domestic – who seek to unseat the sovereignty of the United States.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported that leftist shills at MSNBC, The Atlantic, and Huffington Post claimed that President Trump’s intention to hang The Declaration of Independence in The Oval Office signaled his own objective to rule the United States as a monarch.

These grifters who masquerade as journalists also likened President Trump’s initiative to relocate our nation’s founding document to Nicolas Cage’s character in the blockbuster film National Treasure – who plots to steal The Declaration of Independence.

Pundits decrying President Trump’s ornamentation of the Oval Office with the Declaration of Independence – among President Trump’s many patriotic emblems now adorning the Oval – fail to appreciate the status of The Declaration of Independence as our nation’s founding document that effected the overthrow of a monarchy; instead pundits project onto President Trump, himself, the standing of a monarch, due to his elevation of the document.

These shills are simply unable to recognize that President Trump’s investiture of more than a dozen newly framed portraits depicting former United States presidents, Supreme Court Justices, and the Declaration of Independence all serve to illuminate the American defiance against monarchical rule, so central to the American spirit.

As the Trump Administration now executes its righteous, modern mission for the American people to “dissolve the political bands which connect them” with thousands of unelected government bureaucrats and politically motivated intelligence agents – among other Deep State actors – Americans should revisit with reverence the Introduction and Preamble to the Declaration of Independence:

“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
President Trump explained to Ingraham that the midnight blue drapes veiling The Declaration of Independence surprisingly serve an essential purpose – to protect the precious parchment from damaging light.

President Trump has displayed many patriotic portraits in the Oval Office alongside The Declaration of Independence, and today marks the first time in American history that The Declaration of Independence has been showcased in the president’s office.

“[The Oval Office] has never been like that. We’ve [also] taken a lot of great paintings out of the vault. Some of those paintings were in vaults and safes for a hundred years,” Trump said.

Trump’s assortment of paintings are all embellished with dazzling, gold accents that Trump himself selected.

“They are all gold. It’s angels. They say angels bring good luck. And we need a lot of luck in this country with what they’ve done over the last four years,” Trump said.

Donald Trump has joked about a “nuclear button” at his Oval Office desk at the White House.

The US president’s comments came during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Thursday.

Trump has a red button at his desk, which he uses to order a Diet Coke.

“Where’s the coke button?” Ingraham asked.

“It's right here. Everyone thinks that’s a nuclear weapon, they say if I press this it's the end of the world,” Trump responded.
The Diet Coke button was noticed in an interview with the Financial Times during Trump’s first term as president in 2017.

“This isn't the nuclear button, is it?” the reporter asked.

“No, no, everyone thinks it is. Everyone does get a little nervous when I press that button," Trump replied.

He then pressed the button, alarming the interviewer. Moments later a steward walked in with a glass of Diet Coke on a silver platter.

Former White House aide Chris Sims said Trump used the button to prank visitors during his first term.
“Out of nowhere, he'd suddenly press the button,” he wrote in his 2019 book Team of Vipers.

“Not sure what to do, guests would look at one another with raised eyebrows. Moments later, a steward would enter the room carrying a glass filled with Diet Coke on a silver platter, and Trump would burst out laughing.”

The red button is hidden inside a wooden box, and was removed from the Oval Office desk in 2021 by former US president Joe Biden, news.com.au reported.

It was one of the first things Trump had installed when he returned to the White House, according to the Economic Times.

Towards the end of his interview with Ingraham, Trump pointed to a copy of the Declaration of Independence on the wall.

The Associated Press reported that the document is part of the new decor Trump has installed since starting his second term.

He has also brought in a painting of Andrew Jackson, a portrait of George Washington and a bust of Winston Churchill, the Wall Street Journal reported.
