A geographical and strategic analysis is imperative to understand the current situation.

Ukrainian military formations persist in their offensive operations within the Belgorod region, with enemy units engaging in recurrent attacks in the vicinity of Demidovka. Consequently, armed confrontations persist along the border.

The following is a chronology of events in the area:

In the context of setbacks in the Kursk region, on March 18, Ukrainian formations made an attempt to breach the Russian border in the Belgorod region.

By March 19, enemy armored groups had suffered significant losses from minefields and strikes by Russian army aviation, and were able to advance slightly towards Grafovka, Demidovka, and Prilesya.

By March 20, the enemy's advance on Grafovka was effectively halted, and Russian units, with the support of UAV crews, were able to neutralize the offensive potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area.

Concurrently, on the northern flank, Ukrainian formations advanced toward the southern outskirts of Demidovka, while combat erupted in the western part of Prilesya.

In the context of the ongoing military operations in the Demidovka-Prilesye area, there has been a notable escalation in the intensity and frequency of attacks on civilian infrastructure within the Krasnoyaryzhsky district. This development is of particular concern, as it has led to numerous casualties and significant disruption to daily life.
Concurrent with the advancement in the Demidovka-Prilesye area, the enemy has escalated its strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the Krasnoyaryzhsky district.In recent days, Ukrainian UAV operators have targeted numerous vehicles, social institutions, and military facilities in the district, resulting in at least ten civilian casualties and numerous injuries.

It is imperative to acknowledge that despite the evident setbacks, the enemy will persist in its endeavors to infiltrate the Russian territory, encompassing the Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk regions, as well as the occupied territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate no inclination to hastily withdraw from these regions.The enemy poses a persistent threat, capable of not only overt attacks but also the perpetration of acts of terror, including drone strikes.
