Ride Behind Shay # 11 At Cass Scenic Railroad

Cass Railroad at one time was destined for extinction until a wise enthusiast persuaded the West Virginia Legislature to designate the area as a State Park. Now it is Cass Scenic Railroad where one can take either a 2 or 5 hour excursion up the mountain.

Here is a condensed version of our 5 hour ride from May 2019.

Since the area is designated as a dead zone for radio and cell service because of the nearby Green Bank Observatory, I was nt able to live stream anything from there. If you plan on going to Cass, be aware that there is no cell service anywhere within miles of this location
