Video Essay: Coherence (2013) Walked So Dark Matter (2024) Could Run

In this video I dive into the narrative and scientific similarities between the cult classic Coherence from 2013 and the new Apple TV series Dark Matter based on the novel of the same name by Blake Crouch.

Coherence as a spectacle to watch, and despite dealing with the concept idea of multiple universes crossing over into one, hectic space, it is easy to follow and extremely fun to watch the chaos unfold.
Dark Matter follows a similar concept, but focuses on one protagonist who is thrown out of his world into different realities and different versions of himself, but ultimately, explores the idea of multiple, concurrent realities that can mix and cause chaos.

I watched Coherence and Dark Matter back to back not knowing they followed similar scientific theoretical ideas and structures, but I immediately saw some parallels as I watched them side by side.
