With Tool's album Fear Inoculum releasing in 2019, it was an exciting time to get a whole new album for the first time in over 13 years! With it being released digitally on streaming services as well as physically on CD, a surprising difference was the lack of three tracks on the CD version of the album. While these amounted to transitions as opposed to actual songs, to me this always meant that the physical version of the album was incomplete. I wanted to correct that for myself with the goal of having a lossless, physical, and complete copy of Fear Inoculum on a CD as opposed being stuck with only having the full experience on streaming services. Here I go through the story of what lead up to this, the hurdles I ran into, why this took so long, and how you can do it yourself at home! Oh, and there's a decent amount of modding talk in here. Have fun enjoying some parallels between Dreamcast, Xbox 360, MIL-CD, GD-ROM, and XGD3 past experiences leading to the present day.
