What I Learned About God from Drugs, Sex & Shame

This was such a profound experience—my return to Sanctuary Church, surrounded by familiar faces brought a deep sense of ease and alignment. I spoke candidly about my past, my brokenness, and how Christ is transforming my life. We talked about addiction, recovery, shame, redemption, and the necessity of authentic confession. I shared the tension I’ve felt between old patterns and new faith, and how God's grace makes love immediate and suffering meaningful. There were laughs, there were tears, and there was truth. This is what it means to be fallen and free.
