"Horror, the deceased after arrest had 17 broken ribs
The cause of death of Daniel Kiskinov, 47, who died after police arrest in Kazanlak, is a severe combined chest and abdominal trauma. This is indicated by the forensic medical examination, BGNES reported. Two police officers, Boris Todorov and Dimitar Ivanov, were detained in the case, for whom there is evidence that they exceeded their powers by using force when detaining the man. A third uniformed officer, out of a total of four who arrived at the scene, was called as a witness in the case. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the injuries inflicted during the detention of the suspect were incompatible with life.
The man (Daniel Kiskinov) received dozens of injuries, including contusions of both chest halves, contusions and rupture of both lungs, the presence of blood and air in both pleural cavities; rupture of the liver, hemorrhages in the fatty capsule of the right kidney, blood collection in the abdominal cavity; fracture of both horns of the larynx with hemorrhages in the soft tissues, as well as in the soft cranial coverings; lacerated-contused wound of the right eyebrow, abrasions and hemorrhages on the face and on the upper and lower limbs.
The described traumatic injuries were caused by the action of hard objects by the mechanism of impact and pressure, the experts are categorical.
A video camera recorded the words of the deceased prisoner Daniel Kiskinov after the beating in Kazanlak. On the recording, which is part of the evidentiary material in the case, one can hear "You killed me! You killed me!". Kiskinov's screams could be heard quite clearly, begging the police to stop. There is no picture of the fight on the camera, since it was applied in a place outside its range."
