"Almost all the terrorists of November 13 were French or Belgian and between 20 and 31 years old. How could these young men kill 130 people in cold blood and injure nearly 500? What were their lives and travels like? Why did they become radicalized? And how did they organize these attacks?
One thing is certain: there is no typical perpetrator profile. Some were petty criminals who were not particularly religious, while others, on the contrary, had a clean slate and were very religious.
We have investigated the backgrounds of five of them: Foued-Mohamed Aggad, one of the Bataclan attackers, Abdel Hamid Abaaoud, one of the coordinators of the attacks, Brahim Abdeslam, one of the shooters in the Paris stands, his brother Salah Abdeslam, one of the logicians of the terrorist cell, and Najim Laachraoui, who made the explosive belts.
To understand how and why these men have changed, we have collected the testimonies of those who crossed their paths: their childhood friends, their teachers, their former colleagues, but also their relatives, some of whom are talking about it for the first time.
Through this film, we decipher how they came to be radicalized. Most of these young people have already come into contact with recruiters. Men who indoctrinated her and convinced her of the need to go to Syria and fight there through speeches, but also propaganda videos.
Finally, this investigation shows how these terrorists organized themselves to prepare for these bloody attacks."

"At the Ministry of Sports, an Anglo-Saxon vision of secularism dominates"
By Constantin Gaschignard

FIGAROVOX/INTERVIEW – Sports Minister Marie Barsacq has spoken out against a uniform ban on the veil in competitions. Médéric Chapitaux, a specialist in radicalization in sports and author of a book on the subject, considers this discourse unrealistic.

Médéric Chapitaux is a sociologist and former official in the Ministry of Sports. His latest book is entitled "Quand l'Islamisme penetrate sport" (Presses universitaires de France, 2023).
"Privatized changing rooms for communal prayers, the ban on men shaking hands with women... I'm surprised when the minister assures us that the veil doesn't betray entryism."
