For years, "The Science" has told us that seed oils and polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) are "heart healthy" while saturated fat is demonized as one of the worst things you can eat. But as linoleic acid levels in body fat have skyrocketed, so have obesity and chronic disease... I'm not at all convinced that PUFAs are good for you—in fact, I believe the opposite.

So my goal is to deplete linoleic acid, which I've been doing for the past couple years, first cutting out seed oils and then cutting out all PUFAs for over a year now. So how PUFA depleted am I? In this segment of Fuel & Function, I find out as I review the results of my OmegaQuant test, which tells us my levels of PUFAs (including linoleic acid), saturated fat, and more that are being released into my blood by my fat tissue, to hopefully get an idea of what my levels are like!
