Jurassic World Rebirth is set to bring back some of the best parts of the original Jurassic Park trilogy, but it could be the best movie since the original if it does something unexpected. The Jurassic Park franchise has been enormously successful, but one issue with the movies is their potential for being predictable. Most of the rebooted Jurassic World movies have given unrealistic plot armor to their main characters, and while Chris Pratt's Owen Grady is a fan favorite, the fact that he seemed untouchable lowered the stakes for the movie.

As the Jurassic Park movies are rarely gory, the sense of danger is what keeps the tension going, and the stakes in Gareth Edwards' new Jurassic World Rebirth need to be high. The Jurassic World trilogy appeared to sacrifice the original movie's scares for big action spectacles, which ended in Jurassic World Dominion relying on easter eggs and nostalgia. That said, Jurassic World Rebirth's story must not just be scary, but unpredictable. There is one way that Edwards could do this, and it's a storyline that all the other Jurassic movies have been afraid to do.
