Mark Carney VS. Danielle Smith Spat Takes Off – Why This Could Become A National Crisis

Mark Carney, after meeting with Premier of Alberta Danielle Smith on Thursday, much has gone wrong for Carney. In the meeting with Smith, he said that his government will remove the Carbon Cap on companies, but then his minister of the environment comes out saying that it will not be removed. Carney comes out the next day saying that, there will be no removal of the Cap on emissions. This enraged Smith, and she went ahead and listed her demands on Twitter, saying that if the cap is not removed, Canada could face a national unity crisis and Alberta would go to some sort of referendum. Though the timing of these comments by Smith are most unwelcome, the point she brings are of the most importance, Alberta has indeed been punished by the Federal Liberals for years now and the oil economy has suffered. If this would have not boiled today, it would have boiled tomorrow. That is the truth that despite Trump's threats, Canada has been facing stark systemic issues which have put us in this weak position to be bullied by the USA, and if not for Trudeau's Liberals arrogant leadership, it could have been controlled. Seems that Mark Carney's own cabinet, of far left agendas have him pinned as he is also one of them, but is trying to portray himself as not.
