Joseph Hooven and Hal Winn were American producers, songwriters, and music publishers known for their contributions to the 1960s music scene. They co-founded record labels such as Double Shot Records, Sure Shot, and Whiz Records, as well as publishing companies Hot Shot Music and Big Shot Music. The duo is best known for producing Brenton Wood’s hits, including Gimme Little Sign, The Oogum Boogum Song, and Baby, You Got It. They also produced Psychotic Reaction by Count Five. Their work played a significant role in shaping the soul, R&B, and garage rock sound of the era.
