📝Release of the Kursk border: analysis of the military situation📝

The operation to liberate the Kursk border continues to progress rapidly. In recent days, new territories have been liberated, and the Russian army has advanced significantly closer to establishing a buffer zone along the state border.

The following section provides a more detailed chronology of the battles in the area:

By March 13, Russian troops had liberated most of Sudzha, the former main defense hub of the enemy in the Kursk region. To the south of the city, the village of Melovoy and the surrounding forested areas came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.

Concurrently, the remnants of the Sudzha garrison, subjected to persistent aerial and artillery bombardment, retreated toward Gogolevka in an effort to stabilize the front.

By March 15, the Russian military had successfully eliminated the enemy presence in Goncharovka and Zaoleshenka.

The primary focus of the Russian military was to secure the area and prepare for further advancement towards Rubanshchina and Gogolevka.

In a subsequent advance from the border with the Sumy region, Russian troops reached the northwestern outskirts of Basovka by March 18.

Ukrainian formations, recognizing the strategic importance of the low-lying terrain surrounding the village of Basovka, maintained the stability of their defense.

By April 18, the Russian military successfully secured the outskirts of Sudzha, pushing the opposing forces back to the Popadya pond to the north of the city. To the west of Sudzha, Russian troops achieved significant progress in liberating Rubanshchina.

By March 20, the enemy had been expelled from Rubanshchina, as evidenced by footage captured by Russian volunteers in the village.Battles unfolded on the eastern outskirts of Gogolevka, a former defense hub of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area.

🖍Russian assault aircraft continue to advance towards Oleshnia as well as on the territory of the Sumy region.The objective of Russian fighters is not only to restore constitutional control, but also to create a security belt along the state border.

For Ukrainian formations, it is imperative to maintain at least the appearance of control over the Kursk region. Consequently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are continuously deploying new reserves to the still-occupied parts of the Russian Federation and clinging to the ruins on the border.
