Hidden Rights: Are You Being Deprived? (They Don't Want You To Know!)
The video discusses unfulfilled rights concerning self-determination, corporate influence, homelessness, self-governance, and the importance of non-discrimination in rights.
[44:52-46:00]
The speaker highlights the unfulfilled rights of self-determination and questions why people cannot freely control their natural resources.
number 2: all people may choose, all people may for their own ends- And this is a good one, because this is one of the bad ones- freely dispose of their natural wealth and resources. Now, interesting, Why the heck would any or all people want to you know, by their own right and free judgment, dispose freely of their own natural wealth and resources? And in saying that statement, that's telling everybody that everybody has natural wealth and resources. So if we actually have natural wealth and resources that we can freely dispose to the corporation, say Canada, that is using all these resources and selling it back to us, Maybe I'll just say I don't want to freely dispose of my natural resources and wealth anymore And I'll take that back.
[46:00-46:38]
The speaker discusses corporate influence on rights, emphasizing that mutual benefit is often claimed but not achieved.
thank you very much And I'll continue reading this because I was still number 2, Without prejudice to any obligations for them arising out of international economic cooperation based upon the principle of mutual benefit. now isn't that great, because it's based on a principle of mutual benefit. but This is corporations talking and they're saying it's supposed to be mutually beneficial to the people and the corporations.
[46:39-47:28]
The speaker questions the existence of homelessness despite rights to sustenance and argues that people should not be deprived of basic needs.
Wow, Isn't that so far from the truth? Oh, sorry, to continue An international law. in no case may the people be deprived of its own means of sustenance. Oh, oh so. if the people aren't to be deprived of their own means of sustenance and at the same time you're claiming that you can freely give away all your wealth or whatever, why do we even still have homelessness in Canada or anywhere on the planet? Because even though all the people may freely give up their natural wealth, they still should not be deprived of a means of sustenance. So that should mean being able to take care of yourself, have a place in your head, food in your belly, Roof over your head and all that stuff.
[47:29-48:39]
The speaker emphasizes the right to self-governance as outlined in the UN Charter, asserting that anyone who does not want to be governed should have that right.
So let me just read another one. I'm just going to read the first 3. Number 3 of non-self-governing and trust territories shall promote the realization of the right of self-determination and shall respect that right in conformity with the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations. Wow, Wow, that was a big one, Because it's basically saying: you know, anybody who doesn't want to be governed has the right to self-governance. Yeah, Isn't that what we're all looking for?
[48:39-48:55]
The speaker expresses enthusiasm and readiness to delve into the topic.
right there? I'm actually kind of fired up right here. I'm going to go for another one. I keep it moving here. So we got part 2, article 2. Okay.
[48:55-49:45]
The speaker analyzes international covenant articles, emphasizing the responsibility of states to realize rights through cooperation.
so let's see if this is a bad one or a good one. Each state party to the present covenant undertakes to take steps individually and through international assistance and cooperation, especially economic and technical, to the maximum of its available resources, which is a lot because they got a lot of resources as a resource with a view to achieve progressively the full realizations of the rights recognized in the present covenant by all appropriate means, including, particularly, the adoption of legislation measures.
[49:45-49:48]
The speaker concludes by highlighting the importance of non-discrimination in the realization of rights.
Okay, this is the last article I'm going to read.
