25 So you are to know and understand that from the issuance of the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until [the coming of] the Messiah (the Anointed One), the Prince, there will be seven weeks [of years] and sixty-two weeks [of years]; it will be built again, with [a city] plaza and moat, even in times of trouble.

26 Then after the sixty-two weeks [of years] the Anointed One will be cut off [and denied His Messianic kingdom] and have nothing [and no one to defend Him], and the people of the [other] prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

27 And he will enter into a binding and irrevocable covenant with the many for one week (seven years), but in the middle of the week he will stop the sacrifice and grain offering [for the remaining three and one-half years]; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until the complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who causes the horror.”

Mary Anoints Jesus

12 Six days before the Passover, Jesus went to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom He had raised from the dead.

2 So they gave a supper for Him there. Martha was serving, and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.

3 Then [a]Mary took a pound of very expensive perfume of pure [b]nard, and she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4 But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, the one who was going to betray Him, said,

5 “Why was this perfume not sold for [c]three hundred denarii and [the money] given to the poor?”

6 Now he said this, not because he cared about the poor [for he had never cared about them], but because he was a thief; and since he had the money box [serving as treasurer for the twelve disciples], he used to pilfer what was put into it.

7 So Jesus said, “Let her alone, so that she may keep [the rest of] it for the day of My burial.

8 You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”

9 A large crowd of Jews learned that He was there [at Bethany]; and they came, not only because of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

10 So the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus also,

11 because on account of him many of the Jews were going away [from the teaching and traditions of the Jewish leaders] and believing in Jesus [following Him as Savior and Messiah].

The Triumphal Entry

12 The next day, when the large crowd who had come to the Passover feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

13 they took branches of palm trees [in homage to Him as King] and went out to meet Him, and they began shouting and kept shouting “Hosanna! Blessed (celebrated, praised) is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”

14 And Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; just as it is written [in Scripture],

15 “Do not fear, Daughter of Zion; Behold, Your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”

16 His disciples did not understand [the meaning of] these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified and exalted, they remembered that these things had been written about Him and had been done to Him.

17 So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to tell others about Him.

18 For this reason the crowd went to meet Him, because they heard that He had performed this [miraculous] sign.

19 Then the Pharisees [argued and] said to one another, “You see that your efforts are futile. Look! The whole world has gone [running] after Him!”

I feel compelled, by the message today about obeying God’s Word; to reprint this short exercise.
This little exercise has helped me many times to find and follow God’s Law for my life.

A lot of people talk to God, but it is the Christ-man and the Christ-woman, the humble servant, who hears from God.

To me it is easier for me to be a messenger of God’s Word than to deliver my own opinions.

Here is a small exercise that may help you as it has helped me.

Finding And Doing God’s Will

First you have to go to God for God’s Plan to be done. Herein lies is a big problem.
-
People want God to sign up for ‘their’ plan. It doesn’t work like that.
God always has a plan, a work around. Here is a step by step plan for finding God’s Will for your life and or for your project. And then do what God calls you to do.

1. The question should be what does God want me to do? Nine-tenths of the difficulties are overcome when our hearts are ready to do the Lord’s will, whatever that may be.
2. Having done this, I dare not leave the result to a “feeling” or the first thing that pops into your mind.
3. The next step is to find, through my regular reading of the Bible, find the Spirit of God in the Bible in connection with what God is asking you to do.
If I look to the Spirit alone without the Word, I lay myself open to great delusions. If the Holy Spirit guides us at all, He will do it according to the Scriptures and never contrary to them.
4. Next I look at the circumstances in front of me. What is happening around me, does God seem to be providing for me. Or what doors are opening for me?
A closed door is a clear indication that an opportunity or that way is closed to us. God may not allow you to go forward.
These often plainly indicate God’s will in connection with His Word and His Spirit.
Making known your requests known and only before God alone.
5. Then ask God in prayer to reveal His plan to you. If God is anything, [we’re like God in this respect] God is a communicator.
Then I proceed accordingly. In trivial matters, and in transactions involving in the most important issues, I have found this method always effective.
We are of those who believe, with God’s help and grace we will overcome the Cabal.

Yes! Jesus' name has power, and that we can participate in that power by calling on him.

Some say that the name of Jesus is a strong tower where saints run to. Others say that when you are feeling down and out and in need of direction, call upon the name of Jesus and He shall set you free.
