Why 230,000 People Died in the Tsunami – but Almost No Animals

On December 26, 2004, a tsunami in the Indian Ocean killed around 230,000 people, while almost no animals died. They moved to higher ground before the water arrived. In this podcast, I propose and justify a logical explanation for this and related phenomena.
