Mass Reading Reflection for Friday, March 21, 2025
“O Jesus, today’s Gospel paints the vineyard’s tenants—greedy, they slay Thy Son for gain. Bishop Sheen thundered, ‘Sin kills what it cannot keep.’ Genesis shows Joseph cast into the pit, yet Thou, O Lord, liftest him to glory. St. Charbel bids you guard your heart’s vineyard from envy today. The Lord saith, ‘The stone rejected becomes the cornerstone’—what men scorn, Thou makest mighty. This Lent, uproot one jealous root, for Thou, O Lord, turnest loss to triumph. Trust His harvest, and let your hands build, not break, His kingdom.”
