City, education, and religious leaders will be at a meeting to talk about a photo showing a group of Baraboo High School boys giving a gesture associated with white supremacy. Monday night's meeting is being called “Baraboo Gathers”, a program to address healing and learning for the Baraboo community. The police chief hopes the meeting will be a positive step forward for the people in his city. "That's the big thing tonight is to start the connection because we have to acknowledge that people were hurt, and then we have to go forward,” says Chief Mark Schauf. “Including the boys that were in the photo and they were hurt as well." Monday night's meeting is the first of three such discussions. Another talk next week will focus on community reflection and listening. The exact details for a third program called “Baraboo Acts” will be announced later.
