The BEST Screening format for Hiring Pt. 6

If you missed the previous videos, go back and check them out—lots of value in them!

At this stage, you should have a sense of where the candidate stands:
-Interested and ready to move forward
-Not the right fit
-Still needs some convincing

Clarify one last time:
*Does this opportunity align with your goals?
*Are you ready to move forward?

If it’s a yes, outline the next steps:
-Submitting their info to the hiring manager
-Expected timeline for feedback
-Next interview details & scheduling
-Keep them updated throughout the process

Make sure they have your contact info and know you’re available.

Understand their job search status:
-Are they interviewing elsewhere?
-Expecting other offers soon?
-Ask them to keep you updated on any changes.

Follow-up is key!
💡 There’s a strong correlation between quick follow-ups (24-48 hrs) and a candidate’s decision to accept a role. If they don’t hear back, they’re more likely to lose interest.

In your follow-up:
-Send additional info (culture guide, perks, “Why Work Here” doc)
-Introduce them to the people they’ll be interviewing with
-Make sure they feel supported, not left in the dark

A great candidate experience reflects on your company, impacts hiring speed, and even affects referrals.

If you want a stronger, more effective screening process, ensure your entire recruiting team follows this format. It will lead to better results, faster hires, and a stronger employer brand. 🚀
