How to Improve Metabolic Health: Neurophysiology, Part 2: Telomeres are repetitive nucleotide sequences located at the ends of chromosomes that serve as protective caps, preserving the structural integrity of our DNA during cell division. Each time a cell divides, telomeres naturally shorten, and the cell gets closer to it's Hayflick limit, at which point replication is no longer possible, and death is imminent.

When telomeres become critically short, cells can enter senescence or undergo apoptosis, contributing to aging and impaired tissue repair. Healthy telomere length is therefore essential for maintaining genomic stability, enabling cells to replicate without errors, and ensuring continued regenerative capacity across organ systems.

In terms of homeostasis, telomere integrity plays a foundational role in cellular signaling, inflammation regulation, and mitochondrial function. Emerging research suggests that telomere attrition is closely linked to chronic stress, oxidative damage, and impaired immune responses—all of which disrupt physiological balance.

By supporting telomere health through targeted lifestyle choices, micronutrient intake, and potentially therapeutic interventions, we can promote cellular resilience, delay age-related decline, and support whole-body homeostasis at the genetic level.

Since everything is a million dollars nowadays, since it is nearly impossible to be healthy without this information, & since mainstream medicine pretends this stuff doesn't exist, I made the first course of our 5-course nutrition series free!
