ELON MUSK gets Restraining order, Gives USID back their jobs, and steals contracts.
**Federal Court Blocks Elon Musk’s Access to Sensitive U.S. Financial Data**
A federal court has granted New York Attorney General Letitia James a preliminary injunction to halt Elon Musk and his controversial “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) from accessing Americans’ private financial information. The ruling prevents Musk and unauthorized DOGE personnel from exploiting the U.S. Treasury’s central payment system, which houses sensitive data like Social Security numbers and bank account details.
The decision follows a February 8 temporary restraining order (TRO) mandating the destruction of previously obtained records. James, leading an 18-state coalition, argues the Trump administration unlawfully granted Musk’s DOGE access to this system, risking public programs and personal security. “Giving the world’s richest man unauthorized access to our nation’s most sensitive information puts all Americans at risk,” James stated, warning of threats to healthcare, education, and public safety.
Judge Jeannette Vargas of the Southern District of New York upheld the coalition’s concerns, barring DOGE’s access while litigation continues. The lawsuit, filed February 7, alleges the Trump administration violated federal law by bypassing congressional authorization and privacy safeguards.
James emphasized the necessity of the injunction: “Today we stopped unelected individuals like Musk from undermining the rule of law.” The coalition—including attorneys general from California, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin—claims unchecked access could enable political interference with essential services reliant on federal funds.
The case, managed by New York’s Executive Division and Division for Social Justice, marks a significant escalation in efforts to curb unauthorized data exploitation. James vowed to continue defending Americans from “this administration’s destruction,” signaling a prolonged legal battle to uphold privacy rights and governmental accountability.
This ruling reinforces ongoing scrutiny over private-sector overreach and federal transparency, spotlighting the tension between technological influence and democratic safeguards.
