🔥 Alberta has officially moved to block Trudeau's federal agents from accessing emissions data at oil and gas sites, invoking the Sovereignty Act to protect its economy and energy sector from what it calls Ottawa’s “ideological overreach.”

Premier Danielle Smith introduced Bill 45, which reclassifies these facilities as critical infrastructure, meaning federal inspectors will have no legal authority to trespass or access emissions records.

“The production cap will kill jobs and devastate Alberta’s economy,” said Environment Minister Rebecca Schulz, while Premier Smith vowed: “We will never let Ottawa strangle Alberta’s energy industry to push their ideological agenda.”

⚠️ The bill also introduces a 2-kilometre security zone at Alberta’s U.S. border to fight trafficking and further protect essential sites.

Critics call it political posturing—Smith calls it a fight for Alberta’s future.
