Luke 10:1
Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them two and two ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

Why did Yeshua send out seventy others? It does point out the enormity of the number of people that had to be reached in a short period of time. Yeshua says in verse 9 that they will be able to heal others. Therefore, they have the Spirit of the Father. But why is He sending out seventy? The reason being is that Yeshua is the Prophet like Moses. In the day of Moses, there were seventy "others" who had the Spirit of the Father poured upon them and they were prophesying (saying the Words of the Father), the same way Moses was doing.

Num. 11:16-17 The LORD therefore said to Moses, “Gather for Me seventy men from the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and their officers and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you. 17“Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you shall not bear it all alone.

Ezek 8:11 And standing in front of them were seventy elders of the house of Israel, with Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan standing among them, each man with his censer in his hand, and the fragrance of the cloud of incense rising.
