Rep Jasmine Crockett asks activists to take down Tesla and Elon Musk on her birthday
Rep. Jasmine Crockett: "So I'll make sure to be brief. But I'm actually here for very selfish reasons, starting with March 29th—it's my birthday, and the only thing I want to happen on my birthday is for Elon Musk to fall.
Listen, I've learned while serving on the Doge Oversight Committee that there's only one language the people in charge understand right now, and that language is money. So I've been proud to see us organizing around the cause."
In recent months, Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, have been the target of criticism and attacks from certain political sectors, particularly from some members of the Democratic Party. These actions have included calls for protests and public statements aimed at opposing the policies implemented by Musk in his governmental role.
A prominent figure in this context is Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who has openly expressed her desire to see Elon Musk "taken down" for her birthday on March 29. During a live broadcast organized by the #TeslaTakedown movement, Crockett stated:
"I am here for very selfish reasons, starting with the fact that March 29 is my birthday, and the only thing I want to happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down."
Although Crockett emphasized that her calls are nonviolent, her statements have sparked controversy, especially in the context of recent acts of vandalism against Tesla properties. These incidents have led U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to label such actions as "domestic terrorism" and to promise severe consequences for those responsible.
The #TeslaTakedown movement, supported by figures like Crockett, has organized multiple protests in front of Tesla dealerships in recent weeks. These demonstrations seek to express dissatisfaction with Musk’s policies, particularly in his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, where he has implemented measures such as eliminating federal aid programs and dismissing government employees. The group is planning its "biggest day of action" on March 29, with protests scheduled at 277 Tesla locations in the United States and 500 internationally.
These actions reflect growing tensions between certain political sectors and Elon Musk amid debates over his government policies and their impact on the interests of Democratic Party members. Many political analysts have suggested that these attacks are planned and organized by those who fear being brought to justice as they are exposed for crimes such as embezzlement of public funds and more severe offenses like money laundering. It is known that certain Democratic Party members have seen an unjustified increase in their wealth.
