Gina is a Viking enthusiast, author, entrepreneur, restaurateur from Newfoundland & Labrador (NL), Canada. Gina opened the seasonal "Norseman"restaurant in 1996 located in L'Anse aux Meadows with her family during the summer, including Valhalla by the Sea. In the off season, Gina writes Children's books (including Viking themed books). Gina also has some innovative entrepreneurial business ventures. Gina has also sat on various NL tourism boards, as a federally appointed member, or as President. One board that she sat on was The Canadian Tourism Commission now named Destination Canada. Gina also won an entrepreneur of the year award from NLOWE.
