Defending The Constitution With Ryan Mullally

Ryan Mullally and I have a few things in common.

We both went to law school as adults, we both detest critical race theory, and we both feel that the Democratic Party no longer represents us.

One of the differences we have is that I voted for Trump in November, while he did not — even though he ruled out voting for Harris before he ruled out voting for Trump.

Another difference is that while I spend the majority of my free time watching movies and kissing my dog, he spends what little free time he has fiercely defending the application of neutral Constitutional principles in law through his writing and podcast appearances.

We had a terrific conversation about the political realignment that is occurring in America and touched upon all the relevant current events of the last few years.

Unfortunately, we recorded this three days before the Trump/Boasbert/Roberts drama unfolded.

It’s too bad because I would have loved to ask him about it.

Nonetheless, I found his perspective on everything we talked about sobering and helpful.

I’m going to need people like Ryan to keep me honest as I continue to navigate being a defender of The Constitution and a highly politicized new Trump supporter.
