Crito is a dialogue written by Plato. It depicts a conversation between Socrates and his friend Crito of Alopece regarding justice, injustice, and the appropriate response to injustice. It follows Socrates' imprisonment, just after the events of the Apology. This is one of the most puzzling dialogues, becuase it poses the question: why socrates obeys the laws if he was unjustly convicted? I thought a lot about this, about how to answer this question, and in the end, I came up with a satisfactory answer. Many criticize Plato by pointing out the fact that this dialogue is full of problems and contradictions when compared to his other works. But in my personal opinion, this is not true. The problem is not that Plato contradicts himself, the problem is in their flawed interpretations. There are no contradictions with Plato, if you ever encounter contradictions, the problem is not with Plato, the problem is that you have not fully understood what he is trying to say.
