We are now speaking with Israel's ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely.

Asked for her response to news that more than 400 people have been killed in Gaza following recent Israeli strikes, she says she "shares the sadness" she can see on Sophy's face, but that Hamas holds "the direct fault".

"You need to understand Israel never targets civilians. And we are at a point where Hamas uses these people as human shields and is doing it in the most cynical way to make sure you will report it on Sky News to make sure that Israel will look like it's harming civilians."

Sophy challenges the idea that Hamas broke the ceasefire, given the militant group released all the hostages that were agreed upon during the first phase.

"The framework was very clear," Hotovely replies. "Hamas must release hostages in every single week. We waited three weeks with no hostages being released.

"Do you expect Israel to sit and do nothing when 59 of our people are dying there in the tunnels? Do you expect Israel not to act?"
