WHITE HOUSE RELEASES JFK FILES

Last night, the administration released thousands of unredacted documents related to JFK’s assassination. Most of these files have been in the public record for years, but they’ve reignited theories about what our government’s role was. Some investigators believe Oswald was being groomed by the military industrial complex and eventually set up as a patsy. Some of the new documents bolster a theory that the CIA created a paper trail at both the Soviet and Cuban embassies in Mexico City at the time of Oswald’s visit. Another the new file is a memo by Kennedy aide Arthur Schlesinger bashing the CIA after the Bay of Pigs disaster. Schlesinger warned about the CIA’s reach, and urged Kennedy to examine “reorganizing” the agency. Kennedy fired CIA Director Allan Dulles. Two years later, Kennedy was dead… and Dulles was on the commission investigating his murder.
