Oval Office, March 20, 2025 — President Trump sat down with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham for a candid interview that touched on family, politics, and his son Barron’s potential future as the youngest Trump turns 19 today.

During the interview, Ingraham asked Trump if he believed Barron would follow in his business or political footsteps. The president suggested that his son may be charting his own path in the world of technology.

"Maybe technology," Trump said, emphasizing Barron’s remarkable computer skills. “He has an unbelievable aptitude for it.”

Trump shared a lighthearted anecdote about Barron’s tech savvy, recounting how he once tried to shut off his son’s laptop, only to find it mysteriously back on minutes later.

“I turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh, good,’ and I go back about five minutes later, he’s got his laptop again. I say, ‘How do you do that?’” Trump said, adding that Barron quipped back, “None of your business, Dad.”

Trump also confirmed that he stays in close contact with his youngest son, stating, “I talk to him all the time.”

The interview aired as Trump’s travel plans suggested he may visit New York, where Barron attends NYU’s Stern School of Business. The Federal Aviation Administration has issued temporary flight restrictions over Bedminster, New Jersey, from March 21-22, hinting at a possible stop at Trump’s golf club before heading to see his son.

Barron, who stands at 6’7”, has mostly stayed out of the political limelight but played a key role behind the scenes of his father’s 2024 campaign, influencing outreach to younger voters. He is also listed as the DeFi visionary for Trump’s cryptocurrency venture, World Liberty Financial.
