The full meeting of the Fairfield County Commissioners' weekly meeting for March 18, 2025.

The meeting began with an introduction of new staff member Dominic Troiano, Transit Ops Manager.

Next was a Listen & Learn presentation for Severe Weather Awareness Week with EMA/Facilities Director, Jon Kochis and EMA Deputy Director, Garrett Blevins.

Public Comments portion began at 23:18 through 37:03 with Lancaster resident Ray Stemen praying for the county leadership.

Next, was Beth Cottrill of Amanda Township and the group Protect Amanda Township (https://www.thissolarthing.org/home/amanda-townshiopcarnation-solar-project) asking the commission to formally oppose the Carnation Solar Project and presented a letter of opposition from the Amanda Township Trustees. Mrs. Cottrill noted that county government opposition seems to hold more weight than citizen opposition with the Ohio Siting Board.

Thirdly, Robert Slater II of the Millersport area spoke about drainage tile concerns in relation to solar projects. Walnut Township resident and member of Citizens for Fair Fields (https://citizensforfairfields.org/) Sherry Pymer followed with information on how solar projects are being tied together despite having different names...Eastern Cottontail is tied to Appalachian Cottontail.

Last to speak was Samantha Meadows of Chillicothe and a "Community Advocate" for National Grid Renewables (https://j.brt.mv/jb.do?reqGK=27742740&companyGK=36734&portalGK=26315)
letting the commission and public know she is there for a civil dialog concerning the Carnation Solar Project.

The remainder relating to the regular Legal Update and County Administrative Update(s) and the commission's "voting pattern".
